Garden of the Gods, Eleven Mile Lake, Cripple Creek. We set out on a classic American road trip! Starting off at one of the most prolific Colorado scenes, the Garden of the Gods. Between the deep red rock colors, the prairie-yellow grasses, and the occasional green evergreen... these pictures feel like the very definition of 'the road-trip look'. I think the owner of the old Pontiac would agree! Eleven Mile Lake proved to be a wide open valley between mountains — situated with a calm blue lake right in the middle. Definitely one of the quietest places we've been in a while, aside from the occasional mountain breeze. It was lovely. We ventured deeper still into the Rocky Mountains to see the sun set behind Cripple Creek, a storied old mining town (still running!) with plenty of personality.
