Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak Summit. Well we did another touristy thing that everyone said we should do! We rode the cograil train to the summit of Pikes Peak! It was actually a really interesting experience — the cograil went straight up grades of up to 25%! In many spots it felt just as steep as some of the steepest hikes we've done.. but those dual diesel engines kept pushing us up higher! The view at the top was beautiful but we had to shoot and move quick; it was only about 10°F up there... -10°F if you include the wind chill. With basic jeans and leggings on, we weren't holding out very long. But hey, we officially reached the top of a 14'er! 😁
